My Journey

Since I was a kid, I had a very unhealthy relationship with food - binge eating, sugar addiction and crash dieting. I vividly remember sitting down and eating a whole pack of jalebis in front of the TV as a kid. ​
 

Post 12th, when I joined college - and with the extreme workload and the lack of access to any gym or exercise facilities, I gained more than 25kg in a span of 5 years. I used to binge eat to manage stress, in fact I used to even hide and eat as I was so ashamed of it. I was extremely sedentary.

 

This weight gain completely broke my self-confidence and I felt so uncomfortable in my body. I used to wear only lose clothes to hide my body. I used to avoid social functions to avoid hearing comments on my weight gain.

I used to make the same New Year Resolution year after year, only to give up a month in. I know a lot of you can relate to that too. Things took a turn in 2021 when I finally decided to stop neglecting my health.
